Jurisdictional Issues in Electronic Banking

Abstract

Globally Banks have changed their mode of transacting financial business in a bid to align with the current developments in
banking practices. Banking transactions are gradually going paperless and electronic banking has become the order of the day.
The central bank of Nigeria and other global financial controlling bodies have been responding to this new trend of development
which is not without its challenges. The aim of this paper is to look critically into issues on jurisdiction which is one of the
challenging areas in electronic banking and make relevant recommendations.
