About the Journal

• University of Ibadan Journal of Library and information Science (UI-JLIS) is a Scholarly Publication of the Pioneer Academic Library in Nigeria, the Kenneth Dike Library, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. The journal aims to bring together ideas, opinions, professional practices and research findings from academics, professionals, researchers and individuals working on issues related to academic and professional practices in librarianship. The focus of the journal is on  Emerging trends in library and information science and  Bridging the gap between the past, current and the future of librarianship.

The articles shall cut across empirical, opinion, practices, book review and allied researches. The frequency shall be biannual "two times a year" (January and July).
