The Editorial Board of the African Journal of Educational Management (AJEM) hereby invites researchers, academics, and practitioners to submit original, well-researched manuscripts for publication in the First and Second Editions of 2026 AJEM.

1. Scope

AJEM publishes scholarly articles in all areas of educational management, administration, planning, policy, and leadership. Themes include but are not limited to:

  • Economics of Education & Education Finance
  • Human Resource Management in Education
  • Educational Policy Analysis & Implementation
  • School Plant Planning & Management
  • Quality Assurance & Institutional Evaluation
  • Educational Leadership & Governance
  • ICT in Educational Administration
  • Higher Education Management
  • Comparative & International Education

2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

  • Empirical Research Articles: 4,000 – 7,000 words
  • Theoretical/Conceptual Papers: 3,000 – 5,000 words
  • Book Reviews: 1,000 – 1,500 words

3. Submission Guidelines

  • Format: MS Word, 12pt Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing, APA 7th Edition referencing.
  • Structure: Title, Abstract 150–250 words, 4–6 Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results/Discussion, Conclusion/Recommendations, References.
  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Plagiarism check <15% required.
  • Author Details: Name, institutional affiliation, email, phone, and ORCID iD.

5. Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two experts. Authors will be notified of acceptance, revision, or rejection on/before stipulated dates.

6. Publication Fees

An assessment fee of ?6,000 or $10 is payable on article submission, while an article processing fee of ?25,000 or $50 is payable only upon acceptance of the manuscript. Payment details will be provided with the acceptance letter.
